Duties & Responsibilities
Performs preventative maintenance on close tolerance injection mold tooling and supports engineering tooling changes. Document and maintain log for all repairs, maintenance issues and spare part inventory’s. Coordinates repairs and modifications with outside vendors. Performs tooling component and insert changes on production tooling. Spots molds to check clearances, wear and tear venting etc.
Assembles and disassembles injection molds for preventative maintenance. Assembles and disassembles injection molds according to production schedule. Verifies dimensional accuracy of mold component detail. Takes direction from Molding Manager and interfaces with process engineers and technicians. Maintains work areas and tooling to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
